Babes on the Bay is the largest all women's one day fishing tournament in the USA! It is hosted by CCA Texas Aransas Bay Chapter and has been in existence since the year 2000. The tournament was created to help educate women about the sport of Saltwater Fishing in a conservation minded approach. It is a fun filled weekend with live music, vendor and food booths, educational outreach by TPWD, and getting outside with your friends! You can register until 7/18 at www.babesonthebay.com. Join us for a fun Chili Cook-Off and Goat Poop Bingo!!! The event is FREE to attend!

Chili samples from the cook-off will be available for just $1 each. You can also try your luck at Goat Poop Bingo for just $20 per spot.

Proceeds will benefit Leadership Aransas County. This year's class project is to build a new pavilion for the local 4-H clubs.

Lamardi Gras is a celebration with a local flare to benefit the Lamar Volunteer Fire Department. This annual event occurs the second Friday of February at Lamar Volunteer Fire Department located at 302 Bois D'arc, Rockport, TX 78382. Lamar is located just nine miles north of Rockport on Highway 35. The celebration starts Friday evening at 5-11pm and Saturday 10am to 11pm. Activities include a parade, live music, cold beer, themed food, auctions, casinos, and more.

All proceeds go toward Lamar fire department facilities, equipment and training. The Lamar Fire Department is 100% volunteer and is one of three departments in the Aransas County fire fighting team.

District are collecting food and personal hygiene items for our local Good Samaritans.

10 am – 7 pm Angel trees are set-up throughout The District. These trees provide presents to our local kids in foster care.

Skim Board at Texas By Design.

The Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with the Aransas County Navigation District and A.R.C.H. Jeepers along with local non-profit organizations and businesses to bring a “lighted” holiday experience to the circle area of the Rockport Beach Dec. 5 - Dec. 31 for residents and visitors to enjoy. 

At this time of year when we traditionally celebrate the holiday season, there is still much uncertainty. By staying safe and healthy in your car, this drive-thru light display is sure to bring joy and happiness.

Tropical Christmas

Tropical Christmas is a free, day-long extravaganza kicking off the holiday season with fun, festivities, fireworks and more in the Rockport Cultural Arts District.

The event beings at 10:00am on Saturday, December 4 at the Rockport Festival Grounds, adjacent to the Rockport Harbor, and offers children’s programs, live entertainment, specialty vendors, food trucks and a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus.  The festival winds down at 5 in preparation of the lighting of the Christmas tree and an illuminated night parade.  And, for the grand finale, a spectacular, fireworks display over the harbor.

The event is free and open to the public.   Adjacent businesses in the downtown area will  offer special promotions throughout the day.  At 4 pm, the Rockport Beach Park will begin to offer free access for the viewing of the parade and fireworks.

This event brings about the intervention of his guardian angel, Clarence Odbody. Clarence shows George how he has touched the lives of others and how different life would be for his wife Mary and his community of Bedford Falls if he had not been born.


This classic Christmas tale has been reimagined as a live radio show by the Narada Radio Company, with incredible voice acting and sound effects to create a truly immersive experience. Come join us for an uplifting and inspirational time that's perfect for the whole family.

The Ingleside Chamber of Commerce and the City of Ingleside are coming together to offer the community of Ingleside and surrounding areas a chance to enjoy a day in Ingleside filled with family activities. We will start Friday evening, December 3rd with a drive through Live Oak Park filled with Christmas lights, Christmas decor and fill the air with excitement for the festivities set for Saturday, December 4th.
Saturday will begin with Breakfast with the Grinch, fun activities at the park including a kid’s area called Santa's workshop. Craft vendors, food trucks, pictures with some of your favorite Christmas characters, elves, and Santa himself. We will have a donation area designated for Blue Santa as well.

Illuminated Saltwater Christmas Parade

Begins at 5:30 PM at the Corner of S. Arch & N. Deberry

Parade Route

The Illuminated Saltwater Christmas Parade starts at the intersection of Deberry Ave and Commercial St, proceeds Northbound on Commercial St, and ends left onto Wheeler Ave. 

The Aransas Pass Chamber of Commerce invites businesses and organizations to participate in the fun at the Annual Illuminated Saltwater Christmas Parade. Bicycles and walking groups are encouraged to participate. All entries must be lit in some form or fashion. Parade entries will be judged and trophies will be awarded to the participant group with the Most Lights, Best Holiday Theme, and Most Creative.

Everyone is asked to be prepared and on time. The tossing of candy and favors will be permitted; however, our concern is with trash and debris being left in the streets, as well as the possibility of injuries. Please keep these concerns in mind and pass them on to friends and relatives who may be attending the parade.
